Republican lawmakers are rolling back reproductive rights

Tell your state officials that Texas needs laws that respect, support, and empower women!

Republican lawmakers are working to ban abortion, defund reproductive health care providers, and legislate doctor protocols for patient care, all while Texas politicians continue to make it harder to get an abortion in Texas by creating barriers to access.

Everyone deserves access to quality and affordable reproductive health care. Texas needs laws that ensure access to abortion for all Texans, so hardworking families can receive the support needed to thrive in our state.

Your signature automatically sends an email to your legislators, telling them to vote NO on harmful anti-abortion laws.

Background

There are several big bad abortion bills moving through the state legislature. Republican lawmakers and one Democrat are working to restrict reproductive rights.

  • SB 23 and HB 16Targets physicians who provide abortion for harassment and extraordinary penalties that other doctors do not face and worsens the hostile environment abortion doctors in Texas face.
  • SB 22 and HB 1929 - Bars local government entities from contracting with abortion providers for any purpose and prohibits local governments from lobbying on "behalf of the interests of an abortion provider or affiliate."
  • SB 24 - Specifies the manner in which physicians must provide state-mandated inaccurate information to their patients.
  • SB 1033 and HB 2434 - Would force Texans to carry non-viable pregnancies to term by criminalizing abortion in certain instances.
  • HB 47 - Would make it illegal for a doctor to perform an abortion in Texas except to save the woman's life or prevent serious injury.
  • HB 1500 - Would effectively ban abortion in Texas by making the procedure illegal after around 6 weeks of pregnancy, before most women know they are pregnant.
  • HB 2350 - This is an abortion ban, and would make abortion illegal in Texas with no exception for rape, incest or fetal anomaly.
  • HB 3605 - Allows a judge to assign an attorney as a guardian ad litem to an unborn fetus during the judicial bypass process further interfering with systems to protect abused and vulnerable teenagers.
